Today I bring you what could potentially be my favorite shoot to date. It’s of a 2008 Balloon White Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster LP640.
Rick, a good friend of mine who I met two years back during a cross state adventure hosted by Exotics Rally, brought out his Murcielago to the event and I fell in love with the car. It was then that we decided that we would shoot his car.
The day finally came this past weekend, although weather conditions could have been better, the fog definitely added drama to the shoot.
We met at a Best Buy in Jersey City. Since it had rained earlier in the day we decided to do some last minute detailing. Although it was 10 at night and we managed to attract at least 5 ppl at the lot. Then again the sight of the Murci would attract Stevie Wonder. Finally after about 30 minutes the car was ready. We drove to the location and I brought out my arsenal.
As I began to shoot the car I asked Rick, why the Murci ? He said, “Lamborghini has been my favorite exotic car since I’ve been 15. The car is just bad ass in my eyes. The body design never gets old. The power and speed are awesome”.
If you grew up in the 80s or 90s and were into cars, you most likely had a poster of the Iconic Lamborghini Countach on your wall or garage; I know I certainly did. Lamborghini has been one of my favorite cars for its looks, sound and performance. Rick also added that “There is no other sound like that of a Lamborghini’s V12 engine, you can’t mistake it for any other car”, this is definitely true. I would go as far as saying its an eargasm the second you hear the engine start up.
