2020 started out great for me, it was my first Wedding Expo in New Jersey. Here I met a handful of couples that were looking for the perfect Photographer, DJ, Florist…etc.
One of the couples I met were Christina and Jeffrey, they were the winners for the couples shoot I was raffling off. We initially scheduled the shoot for sometime in May, however at that time no one expected a Global Pandemic to come about and put a halt on the entire wedding industry. Long Story short, after waiting for a few months we finally got a chance to make the shoot happen. Here is their story:
Christina and Jeffrey started dating on 11.11.2011 while working together in their local movie theater. They have been together for 8 years. Jeffrey proposed on August 30th 2019 in her mother’s hometown in Santa Clara surrounded by family. It was Christina’s grandmas first visit back to Cuba since her exile from Cuba in 1969. Jeffrey knowing how special this trip was to her family, he decided to propose in Cuba in front of her relatives since he knew they wouldn’t be able to attend the wedding. They decided to have a wedding in Sevilla, España on hopefully November 11, 2021 so that they can get married where their great grand parents came from. They love their family’s heritage, so it only felt right. Also getting married on 11.11.2021, would be their 10 year anniversary. They wanted to keep the date since it has already brought them so much luck, hence them winning my raffle 😀
